Fudgy Brownies

Recipe #89244

1 c soft butter
2 c sugar
3 eggs
1/2 t vanilla extract
1/2 t almond extract
4 oz unsweetened chocolate
1 c sifted flour
1/2 t salt

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream 1/2 cup of the butter with the sugar.
  3. Add the eggs and beat until light.
  4. Stir in the vanilla and almond extract.
  5. Melt the rest of the butter with the chocolate in the top of a double boiler; cool and beat into the first mixture.
  6. Add the flour and salt and mix well.
  7. Pour batter into a greased, floured 13 X 9 inch pan and bake 45 minutes.
  8. Cool in the pan and cut into 42 squares by making 5 slices across and 6 slices lengthwise.

Made this 2nd time. Topped with walnuts. Reduce the margarine to 3/4 c (1 c original) and brown sugar to 1 3/4 c(instead of 2 cups). And they weren't as fudgy as the last time i made them. Semi chewy and cakey, but when chilled, these ar fudgy Baked for 30 min. But people at calamba loved them
