Baked Tofu (2nd)

Recipe #170170

Taken from Fat Free website. 2nd time i baked this, here's the first

YIELDS: full 7x3 loaf pan

COMMENT:
Not much taste, balsamic not as distinct, not salty either. Tokwa's texture is better in this recipe

CHANGES:
Ddn't add ginger, use 3 garlic cloves. Use 2 tokwa, 1 tofu

EQUIPMENT:
Mid rack (inner) 325º - 30min

PROCEDURE:

1. Mix wet ingredients in glass measuring cup
2. Cut tofu, lined single layer, then top w/another layer. So that i can maximize space
3. Pour liquid on top. Marinated for around 1.5 hrs

RECIPE:

6 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar (important that its balsamic, no substitute!)
1 1/2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger (yes really this much)
1 teaspoon minced garlic
tofu, cut into pcs

1. Slice tofu into about half inch slices. Place on nonstick baking tray so they are pretty crowded.
2. Pour over them the yummy soy sauce.
3. marinade. No need to pre-marinate. (I MARINATED IN THE REFRIGERATOR APPROX 75MIN).
4. Bake for about 1/2 hour at 400.
5. degrees F. (I BAKE 350º - 30MIN ONLY).
6. Its crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and delicious.
